Better Ram TRX or SRT Version!?!
Should Ram consider creating an SRT version of the 1500? Many love the idea of having a Street/Strip version of the Ram 1500 – similar to the days they had the SRT-10 with the Viper Engine. The Ram SRT-10 is one of the most collectable Mopars today, which begs the question?! Why not make another SRT version? Most Mopar owners enjoy having a comfortable street ride but also throw respectable times up at the drag strip. This is why the SRT brand has been so popular within the Dodge, Ram, Jeep & Chrysler the last 20 years.
The Hellcat SRT has become a heavy favorite because of how much HP/Torque it makes 707hp. We already have a Ram TRX which is more so an off-roading truck & many choose to swap out parts to go drag racing. Why not make a Ram SRT Hellcat out of factory focused on the 1/4 mile rather then converting a TRX to be something it’s not.
The Ram SRT Hellcat “Redeye” would be even better! A Ram Hellcat Redeye SRT would have 797hp 6.2L Supercharged V8 Hemi which is the same engine found in the Challenger Demon SRT. The odds of a Hellcat Redeye version of the Ram 1500 is very slim – a Hellcat version is also very slim. That said, check out the rendering in the video above of a Ram 1500 that looks aggressive. This would be a nice style for the Hellcat SRT version of the Ram – their answer to the Ford Raptor.
